Tribute Eatery & Bar is expanding to Ankeny, IA, with an anticipated opening this August!
We’re now hiring full-time and part-time Prep Cooks to join our growing team!

Tribute Eatery & Bar is a vibrant, full-service restaurant and bar proudly established in Coralville, Iowa. Known for mouthwatering food and a unique twist on beloved American classics, Tribute pairs crave-worthy comfort dishes with craft cocktails, curated wines, and local beers. With an energetic atmosphere and a welcoming team, Tribute has quickly become a local favorite—and now we’re bringing that same charm and flavor to our second location in Ankeny.

Starting Pay for Prep Cooks: $15-$20 per hour based on experience.

Schedule: Full or part-time. Shifts are anywhere from 4-8 hours depending on your availability.

Full-time Benefits: Available for all full-time employees who work on average 30 hours per week or more.

Expectations

  • Perform routine kitchen tasks.
  • Follow the prep list created to plan duties.
  • Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible.
  • Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking.
  • Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other meal prep.
  • Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes.
  • Undertake basic cooking duties, such as reducing sauces and parboiling food.
  • Prepare simple dishes, such as salads and entrees.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and removing trash.
  • Ensure that all food and other items are stored properly.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 6 months or more of prep cook experience preferred
  • Prolonged periods of walking or standing
  • Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and place up to 40 pounds at a time.
